September favourites

Where has the year gone? I can't believe it's October already! For some it means it's well and truly autumn, for us in Australia it means we're in our 2nd month of spring... although you wouldn't know it based on the weather right now! Anyway, here is what I've enjoyed using last month.

L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadows
I have 5 of the 9 available colours and love them all. They are so easy to apply (use a dense brush or even your fingers), and you can wear them on their own or blended with each other. HERE is the full review and swatches.

MAC eyeshadow in Moleskin
This is a LE colour from the MAC Me Over collection. It's a fairly boring looking neutral greyish beige shade but is perfect for blending out harsh lines. This is one of those basics that I know I'll use forever.... or until the next best basic grabs my attention!

Clarins Instant Definition Mascara
I received this one from Adore Beauty and I love it. It seriously gives huge drag queen lashes, and the slim tip of the brush makes it easy to get to the corner lashes.  Full review and pictures can be found in this post.

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in #8
I'm really loving this foundation, and have been reaching for it on an almost daily basis. The coverage is medium and buildable, and lasting power is about 8hrs when powdered. HERE is a the full review and FOTD with this foundation. I have a fear #8 is getting slightly too light for me now that the weather's warming up in Australia. Hopefully I can get 1 more month wear out of it before having to shelve it till winter.

Illamasqua Shimmer Blush in Ambition
This is from the Theatre of Nameless range and is one of the first shimmer blushes from Illamasqua. It's a neutral pink that gives a really natural glow to the cheeks. I've been wearing it almost daily ever since I bought it. HERE is a FOTD with it.

Barry M Nailpolish in Pink Flamingo
I bought this earlier last month and without a joke I've been wearing it non stop. I don't normally wear the same colour week after week, but I have with this one. The colour is a gorgeous warm pinky coral, and when topped with my favourite China Glaze top coat this literally lasts 5 days without chipping.

Sleek Pout Paint in Mauve Over
This is a vibrant almost purple fuchsia colour that lasts and lasts. I wore it to the ABBW Gala Dinner, and it lasted through the whole night, including through dinner and dessert. There is a pic of me wearing it in this post (in the pic where I'm wearing a purple dress). The Paint Pouts are meant to be dupes for OCC, but I'd have to say these are longer lasting and thicker in consistency.

Lola by Marc Jacobs
This is one of my all time favourite perfumes that I have had since the beginning of the year. For some reason this to me smells like purple. I know that makes no sense, i.e. how can a colour have a smell? But for some reason when I try to think of words to describe the scent I can only think of the colour purple. It's gorgeous. That's all I can say.

What have been your favourites in September?

  2. (Beauty and Bows Reply) (Makeup and Macaroons) Hi Lilit, I'm the same way with Tags, most are really personal and kind of silly, but at least this one was focused on Beauty. I can't wait to read your answers xx

Last week I ordered the Peachy Keen Pout Paint by Sleek, I can't wait to get it now! Mauve Over looks gorgeous, I've also got my eye on Pin Up.

  4. Great range of favorites, I like how you don't just use high end brands!
I have been thinking about getting the sleek pout paint but I was worried that it would smear and come of in about 2 seconds! Just wondering, does it bleed like a normal lipstick? thanks!

  5. Leah - I got it from Crush Cosmetics, I love shopping there. Pretty much o'night delivery for me.

Beauty and Bows - I wanted to get Peachy Keen as well but in the end I decided I owned too many other peachy lip products so I didn't get it.

Silhouette Screams - Mauve Over is such a Jerry colour, you totally need it!

Grace - No it doesn't bleed at all, and stays on all night! The only problem with these is they stain the lips a bit. I might have to do a post on these, I've had a lot of enquiries about them!
