Take a sip of Bite Beauty’s High Pigment Matte Pencil in Amarone

Hi lovelies, today's post is from Nicole who blogs over at Bagful of Notions. She'd kindly sent this post in for publishing while I was away on my European holiday but somehow the scheduled posting didn't work so I'm now finally hitting the publish button. Over to you Nicole!

I have a slight infatuation with Bite Beauty, a Canadian lippie brand that looks good and is good for you. Velvet was my first taste and then came Zinfandel – the creamy, matte finish left me wanting to try every other colour Bite Beauty has on tap.

Putting a No-UV gel nail polish to the test

I've never had gel nail polish done. While I love the look of it, and that it is so long lasting, the fact is I'm a bit scared of the damage the UV light, which is needed to cure it, may do to my own natural nails.  So a while back when I came across these gel nail polishes at the supermarket (Woolies, for those playing at home) and it said no UV needed I thought I'd give it a try!
The colours are L/R: Soft Pink and Jazzberrry

Diorshow Mono Fusion Eyeshadow in Millennium

Hi all, I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I last blogged! Thanks for sticking around! Well, we're still travelling and all is good here. After spending 10 beautiful days in the South of France we're now in Armenia where my relatives live. I thought I'd get a lot more time to blog while in Armenia, what with the relatives helping to look after our 1 year old son, but the truth is we're always either out sightseeing or spending time catching up with the relatives. Anyway, here's a post I'd prepared earlier that I'm finally hitting the publish button on!

----------------

I'm a huge fan of the cream to powder eyeshadows, like the L'Oreal Color Infallible range or the Chanel Illusion D'Ombres. Well here's one such eyeshadow from Dior. Behold, the Diorshow Mono Fusion Eyeshadow in Millennium.

Millennium is from the Mystic Metallics collection which I've blogged about previously HERE. It's a dark gunmetal grey with greenish undertones. The consistency feels lighter than the L'Oreal and Chanel ones, it's more of a gel/mousse rather than a cream but it dries to a powder finish so it's long lasting.

With flash

Millenium is one of those shades that is perfect to wear all over the lid for an easy smokey eye look. The colour is quite unique actually. At first it reminded me of Chanel Illusoire but upon swatching next to each other you can tell that Millenium is a warmer grey, whereas Illusoire is cooler toned and leans towards purple.
No flash

To see how Millennium looks on the eyes, see THIS POST from a few weeks ago.

RRP AUD$50

Do you like these cream to powder eyeshadows? Which one is your favourite?

Various eye makeup looks with Makeup Geek eyeshadows

When I first posted about my new Makeup Geek eyeshadows I received several requests to post some eye looks. Here are a few that I've been doing lately. And can I just say that I am absolutely loving these eyeshadows. They seriously are great quality, the price is very good and ever since I got them I've been wearing only these. Oh and I've brought them along with me on my travels (we're still in France for another 3 days, then head down to Armenia to spend time with my family). Click HERE for my review and swatch post of these eyeshadows.
