Feeling infallible... ok, maybe it's just my L'Oreal Color Infallible eyeshadows

I'm not usually big on cream eyeshadows, in fact I don't even own any. I have hooded eyelids (not quite Asian, but not quite Caucasian either) so I always worry about creasing. But these L'Oreal Color Infallible 24 hour eyeshadows are perfect, with no creasing whatsoever.

Priceline had a deal where you buy a L'Oreal mascara and get any eyeshadow for free, so I thought I'd give these Color Infallibles a try when I bought my 4D mascara (meh, it's ok, not the best... mascara that is). Initially I only picked up Hourglass Beige but then I loved it so much that I went back and picked up four more!

They're not exactly cream, they're a weird hybrid mixture between cream and powder and the texture seems like cheaper dupes for the Chanel Illusion D'ombre and Armani Eyes To Kill range. Overall I'm extremely impressed with this range. Well done L'Oreal!

Here are the colours that I picked up. I've used flash in all pics as when I was swatching them the light wasn't that good in order to do flash-less pics. But the colours in real life are just as shimmery, even in natural light.

002 Hourglass Beige
On my skintone it looks more frosted white than beige but I don't mind that at all. This is perfect to highlight the inner corners and brow bone.

006 All Night Blue
This is a stunning frosted deep midnight blue. It's perfect worn as an eyeliner, or to deepen the crease.

015 Flashback Silver
This colour runs a bit towards a lilac silver. It's perfect worn alone all over the lid, it doesn't need a crease or a highlight colour. Perfect.

005 Purple Obsession
I love wearing this colour all over the lid for a super easy purple smokey eye. Of course it can just as well be worn in the crease or outer V, or however you wish to wear it.

009 Permanent Khaki
This is probably my favourite of the lot, it leans more towards sage green than khaki, and is perfect worn on its own. In fact all the colours are great worn all over the lid - they're very easy to either blend out for a softer look, or use a heavier hand to get a deeper colour.

These claim to last 24 hours, but I haven't put it to the test because like a good beauty blogger I wash my makeup off before going to sleep. That said, they do look freshly applied even after 14 hours of wear, as below.
L'oreal color infallibles after 14 hours wear. The rest of the makeup is not so infallible, but the eyeshadow is!
In the pic above I'm wearing Hourglass Beige as highlight and on browbone, Purple Obsession all over the lid, and All Night Blue in the outer V.

There are a few other colours in this range, so I'm really tempted to go back and pick up some more.

What do you think of these eyeshadows? What's your favourite colour?

  6. It's a tie between permanent khaki and flashback silver for me too! I've been wondering about these shadows but have resisted so far. Now that you're suggesting they're a dupe for Chanel I don't know if I'll be resisting much longer!

Jade - thanks babe, I want to go back and get the rest of the colours. They are definitely fabulous.

Vita - not that you needed convincing, but from what I've seen based on other blogs these look to be the same quality as the Chanel ones, except of course way cheaper.

Miss Pontigues - Loreal's done a fabulous job with these shadows, the texture, the colours, pigmentation, just amazing.

  15. I honestly have no idea what kind of eyes I have. Especially since on any given day the eyelids fall differently. =w=; But I too worry about creasing.

L'Oreal needs to hire you as an eye makeup model ASAP because you wear these BEAUTIFULLY. <3

  16. Lilit! You *know* I have to go out and buy some of these now!! They look amazing, and you won me over when you said they could be dupes for Chanel {as at 48 bucks a pop for Chanel, I definitely can't justify getting too many of them}. They look so beautiful on your eyes. Thanks so much for sharing! Xx

  17. I may have to try these. I also have hooded eyes and am always paranoid about my eye shadow creasing after wearing it all day or night. These shadows may be the answer I've been looking for!
