Taking my newbies for a test drive - FOTD with Illamasqua, Too Faced and Flormar

You might remember I did a bit of stress induced hauling last week. Nothing major, just a few things here and there. Today I'll be showing a look with a couple of the goodies that I bought.

Flormar Lipstick in #L07 - this is an incredibly creamy neutral pink lipstick. It feels really moisturising on and lasts through my morning coffee before needing to reapply. I bought this a few days ago, which I blogged about here.

Illamasqua Blush in Ambition - this is Illamasqua's first shimmer blush, and it's a gorgeous muted plummy pink. It looks really natural on, and I think it will look amazing with a bit of (fake) tan. It's from the new Theatre of Nameless collection, which I bought on their launch night (blogged here).

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette - I love this palette, I think the colours are perfect for spring but will also work well in autumn. I've had this for a while now but only really started using it the last few weeks.  For this look I used the colours in the middle row, as swatched below.

I took this photo below at the end of the day after coming home from work. Except for touching up the lipstick everything else is exactly how it was after applying it 10 hours earlier.

Full makeup breakdown
  • Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse foundation in Classic Ivory
  • Illamasqua Powder in PF#150
  • Benefit Hoola to contour
  • Illamasqua Ambition Blush
  • Too Faced "Cut the cake" all over lid, "First dance" smudged as eyeliner and outer V, "Kiss the bride" to highlight
  • L'Oreal 4D Mascara in Black
  • Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in Black/Brown
  • Flormar Lipstick L07

Nails
I wore Flormar nail polish in #410 which is again something I picked up a few days ago (blogged here)

  4. Leah - hopefully they'll be available more widely so you can try them out. They are seriously fabulous.

Fables in Fashion - thanks so much :)

Hannah - It is very long lasting, I'm so happy with it. But then again I don't think I'm unhappy with anything from Illamasqua.

  10. Lilit, you look beautiful! Love all the products, and the lippie is just divine. How do you rate the TF Romantic palette? I have been eyeing it off for *ages* now, and am almost ready to buy it, but was just looking for an honest opinion from someone who already has it? I can't see why I wouldn't buy it, as I have the Natural palette {my first TF purchase} and ADORE it, but I have been reading that the Romantic is better suited to green eyes?

  11. I suppose it's redundant of me to say I love the lipstick of you, because you rock every lipstick colour. The blush coordinates well with the lipstick. I don't think it was in stock on the website when I made my order, otherwise I def would have picked it up!

  12. Nicole - thanks hun. I've never tried barry m dazzle dusts actually, maybe i should check them out.

Nat - the earrings are my favourites, got them a while ago from the markets and love them so much. Perfect for summer.

Eden - thanks babe, me with plenty of style? Ha!

    Gaby - thanks hun.

Vintage - I thought you would like it, you're into your soft pinks huh :)

eXx - thanks hun. I love Romantic Eye, definitely worth it in my opinion. Some of the matte colours are a bit chalky, but 7 of the 9 colours are just perfect. I don't regret this purchase at all.

Silhouette Screams - I've been wanting to get Morale blush too, the dark one, but it's sold out on the website and not sold in AU. Will have to stalk the website till it's restocked.
