Scunci hair challenge - week 1

I'm generally boring and definitely not innovative when it comes to my hair, unlike gorgeous Eva Mendes who rocks hair accessories like no other.

I pretty much have 3 standard styles: curled, straightened, worn in an updo. I hardly ever use hair accessories, unless you count bobby pins!

So when I was asked to take part in a hair challenge set buy Scunci Hair Accessories, I figured this is a perfect chance for me to experiment a bit with my hair. You may remember in this post I mentioned that I'm taking part in this challenge, where Scunci will send me one of their innovative hair accessories each week for 4 weeks and I'll need to create a look with it. This week it's the Bendini Clips!

Scunci Bendini Clips - RRP $7.95aud
The Bendini Clips are the latest accessory from Scunci, and it's so simple and easy to use, yet so effective that I don't know why it hasn't been around earlier!

They come in a range of colours and designs to suit the look you're going for, which you can check out on their website. I was sent a pair with pearls and beads. It looks scary at first, but it really is simple to use and best of all it's non slip and did not slide out of my hair.

How I wore it
I did initially consider using the clips to push back my fringe, but it was a bit too cutesy for me.

So instead I did something that's not that creative at all, but is still effective!

I simply put my hair up in a messy bun, but you'll have to admit that with a simple slide of the two clips under the bun it actually really made a difference.

The Bendini Clips are sold in various drugstores and department stores, like Priceline, Boots and Sainsburys. I'll be visiting my local Priceline this weekend because I seriously want to get some other styles from this range.

Have you tried anything from from Scunci? Do you experiment with hair accessories?

  6. cute detail. though whenever someone asks me of how to make the hair more fun and creative, my answer alsways is: Cut it! Get short hair! A short hair is endlessly fun! Never got tired of it.
Just a point. (don't hate me!)

  7. Ooooh! I love theme on the bun but I'd probably wear them to push my bangs back when i'm slaving over a hot computer all day. xD I don't mind being cutesy!

  8. Thanks for your comments everyone. xo

@EyeGraffiti - LOL, don't hate you. I used to have short hair, and I loved it at the time but it ended up being too high maintenance for me as I had to get it cut every 4 weeks to keep the shape. So for now I'll stick with the mid lenght and be boring and wear in a bun. :)

  14. Thanks for the great review. The Bendini clips are getting really popular, we sell a ton of them. This one comes in three colors and there are two other versions that also come in a bunch of colors... tons to choose from. All very chic and stylish, especially for their price.
