Swept away to Atlantis

I've never been one for sparkly nailpolish, but the other day I was buying a couple of things from Crush Cosmetics when this colour from China Glaze caught my eye and I just added it to my basket without thinking.

When I finally laid eyes on this little beauty in person, it was LOVE.

The colour is called Atlantis, and it's a wonderful holographic green/blue sparkly polish.

Worn on its own it's a sheer green colour with lots of green, blue and silver glitter in it. Layered over a black polish, like I've done in these pics, it's something else all together.

Wearing this polish I'm so mezmerised by my nails, I can't stop looking at them!



Direct sunlight


In these pics I've got one coat of black polish on, topped with 2 coats of Atlantis. In real life it's a lot more green than these pics show, but no matter what setting I put my camera on, the pics only picked up the blue sparkles. 

If worn on its own, you'd need about 3 coats to get a nice coverage, but I think it looks better layered over another polish. I've also tried it over a mint colour polish and the effect, though not as dramatic, was very bright and summery.
