And now lets see them on the lips...
Hush - this is my favourite of the lot. I love it, it's such a beautiful neutral colour and goes perfect wiht smokey eyes. |
Memento - a gorgeous creamy pink colour. |
- They feel unbelievable on the lips, go on like a lipgloss buy stay put like a lipstick.
- Long lasting
- Doesn't feel like you have anything on your lips.
What I don't like about them:
- You have to make sure you exfoliate your lips and don't have any dry bits as these will accentuate flakiness.
- Also they're not very travel friendly, i.e. you have to use lip brushes to apply these as otherwise you'll end up with too much product, and realistically it's not handy carrying a lip brush with you everywhere
Have you tried these lip tars before? What do you think?
I dont have any of them but Im planning on getting some soon! The last 2 colors are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMemento looks so pretty! I'm very tempted by these, but I really don't like 'high maintenance' lip products, lol. They do look nice though!
ReplyDeleteHush is so pretty :) I definitely want to try these lip tars. They look great!
ReplyDelete@Eugenia - the last two colours are definitely the most wearable of my trio! Get them, you'll love them.
ReplyDelete@Femputer - these are definitely high maintenance! But they're gorgeous and not too expensive so i don't mind.
@Alina - Hush is my new HG gloss I think, the colour goes with everything.

I love the look of all of these shades! Love that they are said to be long wearing...oh so tempting
ReplyDeleteGreat review Lilit, I really like the colour of Memento.
ReplyDeleteI don't think these are available in the UK, but they sound good.
D xx
@Emma - well they're half the price of MAC lippies so you could justify the spend. Plus the place where I got it from has free delivery to AU at the moment.
ReplyDelete@D - I first read about them through a british beauty blogger (Mouldy Fruit) so it's probably available somewhere in UK after all.

Hi Lilit,
ReplyDeletethe colors are soooooo pretty. Hush and Memento are great for you.
Cha Cha is a very interesting color and I agree with you. I´m corious for your options with that color.
I have never tested the OCC lippies, but with that picture I think I need one!
Sandra
A couple of days before you posted this I was going to order ChaCha & Hush! I actually really like the ChaCha on your lips but I love peachy lip colours for the summer! I just suppose it isn't everyones cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteGirls in the UK we can order them from Cocktail Cosmetics for around £8!
xx
They all look wonderful, but Memento looks especially amazing on your lips!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily!
ReplyDeleteKate - I can definitely see you wear both hush and cha-cha, they'd look great with the super smokey eyes that you do, and your mega lashes!

I've not tried these but they look so nice on you and I've heard alot of great things about them! Great review!
ReplyDeleteMomento is a pretty color! I suggest with OCC lip tars to only apply a little bit because a little really does go a long way! I like to also apply the OCC lip tar and then remove it so it leaves a sublte stain - great for everyday wear :) I just did some swatches of other ones, thought you might like to add these to your stash too http://roseannebeauty.onsugar.com/Roseannetangrs-Review-OCC-Lip-Tars-11288464 - in Paegent, Strutter and Stalker. Paegent is hot pink and strutter and stalker are classic reds! Great blog and love that you're from Aussie! Love, Roseanne
ReplyDeleteCan't decide whether I like Hush or Memento more! My shopping list gets longer and longer by the day... lol
ReplyDelete@Angela, that's the danger of reading beauty blogs, you just want everything! I know I do!!! If it helps, i've worn Hush a lot more than Memento, I found memento a bit too close to my own natural lip colour to make any impact.
