FOTD - super quick smokey eye

I was having a bit of a blah morning yesterday, feeling too exhausted  to put much effort into my appearance, so I thought I'd do my super quick no-effort smokey eye.

This literally takes me 5 minutes to do, and sure it's not the most creative and not the most perfectly blended look but it does the trick on those blah days. I didn't even use an eyeliner, just smudged a dark brown e/s in the  lashline.

OK I don't know what's with the weird expression on my face! I need to learn to pose better!

I guess this is the face equivalent of an LBD, something I turn to when I'm having a blah day. Oh and I seriously need to decide what I'm doing with my fringe because it's getting out of control, I don't know whether to grow it out, cut it in straight bands, or in a sideswept style. Decisions, decisions...

Do you have a trusty look you do on those blah days?

  2. Oh thank you so much, you're very sweet. Tell you the truth I'm quite hopeless at eyeliner anyway so even if I wear one I usually jsut smudge it with brown e/s over it coz I can't do a nice straiight line.

  6. GREAT! I love this, very simple yet punchy. You have the most amazing lashes I thought you were wearing falsies!

  7. Thanks Imo, and no they're my natural lashes... i'm too freaked out about wearing falsies in case while taking them off I taken my natural ones with them!

  8. You look great Lilit! I love how easily you can do a smokey eye for daytime. If it was me, I would take super long because I worry about all the blending and stuff. That is why for mornings I keep it simple for myself. I use a brightening, shimmered, neutral lid color, and then apply a brighter color on my inner corners to help brighten up my tired eyes.
The Urban Decay Naked palette sure is versatile. Looks great for daytime wear and night time :)

  9. @Alina, thanks heaps! The great thing about having a long fringe is I can hide messy eyeshadow jobs behind it (and unruly eyebrows for that matter!)
