Hue is one of those colours that most people I know have in their collection. But if you don't already have it and are looking for a cheaper alternative, here are a couple that you might like - BYS lipstick in Champagne Rain and OCC Liptar in Hush.

I hadn't been wearing Hue and Champagne Rain much lately as I've got a bit of a tan and they're too light for my current skintone. As for Hush, I've only been wearing it with a brighter gloss on top because again I think it's currently too light for me. But in winter when I'm paler these will be on high rotation no doubt.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I think Hue tops the list as one of my all time favorite lipsticks! I've gone through about 3 tubes of it! Haha! Wow!! $36!! That's i-n-s-a-n-e compared the the $17.50 it is here! I pay $36 for Chanel lol!

@dempss you're welcome hun! @glossqueen lol, and you know if i find another brand lipstick in exact same shade i'll probably buy it! @aranza, yeah mac is ridiculously expensive here. Occ tars are great, but a bit fiddly because u have to apply with a brush. @akisa, thans so much, i'll keep an eye out for it. Lilitxx

God, aren't Australian cosmetics prices RIDICULOUS?! It annoys me so much. Anyway, this is a great post... what is the quality of the BYS lipstick like?

@andree, considering our $ is on par with US and CAD there is no excuse for our prices. @steph, thanx hun it is def a great colour, hence my many dupes! @popmakeup, i quite like bys lipsticks, they have great pigmentation. The frost formula's a bit weak but the cream formula is the best, i'd compare to nyx maybe even mac amplified. @popblush i wanna get more lip tars! Another obsession lol

BYS lippies are surprisingly good, I have a few of their colours as they cost the same as a cup of coffee! Thanks for letting me know, i'm glad people are finding these posts useful! ;-)
