I'm back and winner of my giveaway announced

Hi lovelies, our little holiday to Vanuatu is over and now we're back to a much-much colder Sydney.

Firstly, thanks for entering my small giveaway to win a lipstick of your choice. The winner, picked by Rafflecopter is Lily G. I've emailed you Lily so make sure you get back to me quick with your choice and mailing details. If you didn't win, don't worry because I have another exciting giveaway coming up very soon! I'm currently working with Gorgeous Cosmetics to put together a fab giveaway for you, and yes, it will be international!

Now a bit about our holiday, for those of you interested. The rest of you, I'll catch you at the next post!

If you're looking for a tropical island getaway I highly recommend Vanuatu - it's a 3.5hr flight from Sydney, the weather is beautiful and balmy and you have clear blue waters and white yellow sand. It's also not heavily packed with tourists (except on cruise ship days at which time you should avoid any touristy areas!) so it's not unusual for you to be the only people on a pristine beach.
My son making good use of the "sandpit" at our resort.

This was our 3rd time in Vanuatu so we didn't do much of the touristy stuff and concentrated on rest & relaxation. We hired a car for a few days and just drove around the island (Efate island, which is where we stayed is only 130km round trip), but there are lots of organised tours that will take you site seeing as well.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port Vila Vanuatu. The Holiday Inn is the type of place that the husband and I would have avoided 3 years ago, because it's full of screaming kids! But now that we have a screaming kid of our own the place was perfect - it has a kids pool, kids club and the staff were super friendly. Most of our days involved spending a couple of hours in the kiddie pool, with Luca inevitably getting a chocolate ice cream to eat while standing in the pool. Needless to say, he was very happy.

If you don't have kids and are thinking of heading to Vanuatu, I suggest you stay at the numerous other resorts that have a "no children" policy. Overall we really like Vanuatu and I have no doubts we'll be going there again.

Ok that's it for now, I'd better get back to the tonnes of washing and tidying that inevitably comes after a trip away. The next post will be a peek inside my holiday makeup bag. Talk then, xx
