Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation in Nude
I used to use this all the time then neglected it for dewier foundations, but lately I've gotten back into matte bases so this one is perfect. I got it 50% off at the Chemist Warehouse sale.
Revlon Colorstay foundation in Nude
I bought this because I wanted a long lasting base and this one is renowned for that. I bought the normal/dry formula but I still find it quite drying on my skin, and very mask like. I also find the colour slightly too light for me, but I have been mixing it with my Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (not the one I just bought) which is slightly too dark at the moment, and the new texture/colour seem to be perfect. Got it 50% off at the CW sale.
NARS highlighter in Albatross
I had been after Albatross for quite a while, then when I saw it pop up on Jess's blog sale I snatched it up. I haven't used it yet, will do a proper review when I use it.
Maybelline Color Show nail polish in Wine & Dined
I actually don't have many dark nail polishes and this one caught my eye. It was 50% at the CW sale.
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black
As far as I know this mascara isn't sold at the usual L'Oreal stockists, but you can still pick them up at discount cosmetic stores. I got mine from Cosmo Cosmetics. It's seriously one of the best mascaras I've ever used, and I do wish it was more widely available. It gives great volume, separates, lifts and does not make lashes crunchy. It's pretty perfect really.
Almay eyeshadow Trio 2 for Brown Eyes
This was around $5.00 at Cosmo Cosmetics. I used to own this purple colour combination years and years ago and remember loving it. Now that I've been exposed to better quality eyeshadows this one is no longer impressing me as it's a bit powdery, but the colours look great together and it's very easy to create a purple smokey look with it.
Chi Chi Viva La Diva lipstick in Shake That Booty
I love love love Chi Chi lipsticks. I have quite a few of their shades, I find the formulas great and the colour choices are on trend. This swatches much lighter than it looks in the tube.
MAC lipstick in Pink Pearl Pop
No, I didn't need another pink lipstick. But I thought it was pretty, so I bought it. It's the sheerer version of Viva Glam Nicki, so if you like VG Nicki but are too scared of the brightness then give this one a go.

I also received a few things from my friend Ebony, who brought back these two gorgeous nail polishes and a lipstick from Thailand. I absolutely adore the nail polishes (I think the brand is Lappa but there are no shade names or numbers), they're so summery and cheerful. The lipstick is also something I'm looking forward to wearing, it's very bright but we all know I love my brights! The shade is called called Pink Alarm and the brand is IN2IT.
Gifts from Thailand, thanks Ebony! |
Here are a few lipstick swatches before I leave you.

What do you think of my haul? If there's anything here you'd like me to write about in more detail let me know!
That bright pink lippie is so you!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? My friend did well! :)

No problems! I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it already - I'll do it in a few days. :)
DeleteI adore Chi Chi lippies, they're such good value! I've also got Pink Pearl Pop from MAC (as one of my Back2Mac purchases) and adore it... but I will admit that the MAC packaging means that I've barely touched it since purchasing back in September. Oops.
ReplyDeleteChi Chi's really come a long way, I remember their lippies in the past were horrible and waxy, but now I want them all! And LOL at not using the MAC, I know what you mean! :)
Deleteawesome lippies :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
Deletegreat haul!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAwesome haul Lilit, the lippies look lovely, also the eyeshadow trio. I have not tried Almay yet..
ReplyDeleteI've only ever tried eyeshadows from Almay and they're ok... not the best, but not horrible either. My mum loves their mascaras so I might give them a try one day.
DeleteThe lipsticks are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI know, i can't wait to wear them!
DeleteI want to eat those pink lipsticks up! Is MAC Pink pearl pop a permanent lipstick?
ReplyDeleteYep it's permanent, so you have plenty of time to get it. It's a gorgeous shade :)
Deletehahah ya! But I wonder why it never caught my attention before! You pick the prettiest colours Lilit!! :)
DeleteRevlon Colorstay with a pump. That's the first time I see it. I hope it will be available with pump in Europe:)
ReplyDeleteI love the pump, no more messy bottle tops. Hopefully the pump version is available in Europe as well for you :)
DeleteI have that maybelline nail polish - loved the colour in the bottle, but not so much when I put it on.
ReplyDeleteHope it works for you :)
I'm wearing it right now, I don't mind the colour on my nails - most dark shades make my fingers look pink but this one doesn't. The formula's dodgy though, very sheer so I had to apply 4 coats to get nice opaque coverage.
DeleteGreat buys! I know the feeling, it's awfully tempting to do a little lunchtime browsing and before you know it, you seem to have a mini haul on your hands!
ReplyDeleteI love those lippy shades!
I've seen IN2IT on sale in Malaysia but I don't think I've ever bought anything from there.
I want that NARS highlighter super bad..
ReplyDeleteI have been lemming that MAC lippy for a couple weeks now, I might have to make it mine! And I'm glad you like the Thailand goodies, seeing your swatch of the lipstick makes me think I should perhaps pick it up for myself too... Xx
ReplyDeleteI'm always curious about Chi Chi lipsticks because of Shaaanxo videos x
ReplyDeleteoh?? those nailpolishes look like they're from the Korean brand Etude House. They've got tons of colors like this and it's quite a good budget Asian brand (their proof10 eyeshadow base is superb at the fraction of the cost of Urban Decay's)
