What do you think of the rubber-like finish?

Monday's mani - Illamasqua Aorta
Today on my nails I'm wearing Aorta* from Illamasqua's Rubber Brights Collection. It's a limited edition shade that has a matte rubber-like finish. I'm wearing 2 coats in these pics, which as you can see is enough for full coverage. The colour is a bright blood red (hence the name!) and having worn this before, it lasted 4 days on my nails without chipping. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the rubber like finish, I prefer my nails glossier, but that's obviously a personal preference and can be quickly remedied with a shiny top coat. Ah! This colour doesn't seem like it looks best in the semi-matte finish... I have 'Serenity' from the range, and it's SO beautiful Lilit! It's bright and suits the semi-matte finish SO much!

I don't really like matte and very glossy finish.The color is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWow what an interesting finish- I haven't seen any nail polishes with a "rubber matte" look before! It looks really nice although I agree with you- I really liek the glossy finishes a little better :) I really like the coral/red shade you've chosen, definitely a great staple in the nail polish collection!
ReplyDeleteI think the rubbery finish looks nice for something different! I still prefer a glossy finish, but to have both options (when adding a shiny top coat) is the best of both worlds!
