That is until I came across MAC Something Special... and I thought that ... well, it is something special and needs to come home with me! The other purchase, Estee Lauder Peach Nuance, is from a blog sale held by the lovely Delyteful Speaks (who incidentally has the same taste as me in EVERYTHING beauty related).
L/R: Estee Lauder Peach Nuance, MAC Something Special |
MAC Something Special
This is a cremeblend formula by MAC which is now part of their permanent line. It's a lovely peachy pink that goes on very smoothly and surprisingly lasts an 8hr day without sliding down to my chin or going patchy. It looks really natural on, and gives a beautiful glow to the face.
Estee Lauder Peach Nuance
I'd read about this blush on so many blogs that I lost count, but never really thought about buying it. I will be honest here, I'm not one to buy from Estee Lauder much because I always get distracted by hipper, cooler brands like Illamasqua and MAC, so I never even set out to purchase this blush. But when I saw it at the blog sale I thought this is my perfect opportunity to try it. The colour graduates from light to dark, from a pale peachy tone to a darker coral tone. The lighter side is too light for me, so I only ever wear it swirled together.
These two blushes are also great for layering to get a totally different colour tone, and make it last for ages. The Peach Nuance over Something Special turns into a lovely warm peach colour that is perfect for summer cheeks.
Have you got any of these blushes? Do you layer your creams and powders?
You have cheekbones to die for. Both the colors are gorgeous.

I usually use Becca beach tints with the shimmering skin perfector in Opal.Interested in the layering of both.

I want to try cream blushes, too, but I am nervous how they might hold up with my oily prone skin. And I love to layer blush!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful on you! In my latest post I layered Benefits Coralista over Something Special :) I love Something Special but I think it goes patchy after a 9-5 shift at the office! xx

I've never layered my creams and powders because I still don't have as good an idea of what they will look like blended. The way that these two look together makes me want to try it! Such pretty colors!
