Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Collection

Before I start my blog post I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all my readers a Very Merry Christmas! I wish you all the best for this joyous time and beyond! I can't believe Christmas is here TOMORROW, and the thing I'm most looking forward to is seeing my 17 month old son's face when he opens his presents in the morning. He's getting toys, clothes and more toys and that's just from the hubby and I. He's going to be one spoilt little monkey tomorrow but I wouldn't have it any other way. What are you looking forward to tomorrow?

=================

Would you believe I've never tried Bobbi Brown makeup? Shocking, I know! Their gel eyeliners are legendary (and have also been on my shopping list for a while now) and their complexion products have a reputation as being some of the best in the industry. Well I now finally have the chance to trial some of their products when I received a lovely surprise package containing 3 items from the Old Hollywood Collection which is available at Bobbi Brown counters now.
They just ooze glam and sophistication, don't you think?

Bobbi Brown Siren Red Lip Gloss - $44 AUD (LE)
This is a super shiny sheer red that is nowhere as scary on the lips as it appears in the tube. It comes with a doe foot applicator which makes it easy to apply, and because it's sheer you don't have to worry about getting a precise line around the lips. It's goes on thick, yet feels weightless on the lips, and is non-sticky so that's great for long haired gals who get lipstick skid marks on their face whenever the wind blows.

Bobbi Brown Tuxedo Black Nail Polish - $26 AUD (LE)
While the shade isn't intense, it's almost a dark grey, it is a very opaque colour with one coat enough to provide full coverage. If you're not a fan of black nail polish. they're great as a base for glitter nail polishes or nail art in general. In the pic below I'm wearing a single coat of Tuxedo Black with a glitter nail polish on the tips for a French Mani with a twist.

Bobbi Brown Tuxedo Black Cream Shadow Stick - $44 AUD
Now this is intense black. I love it. I am yet to use it on my lids but I plan on using it as a base for smokey eyes so stay tuned for a look with this shadow stick soon.

I'd say this collection has whet my appetite for mrs Bobbi Brown, so next time I am near a BB counter I will definitely be adding a few things to my collection, at least the gel eyeliner!

Have you tried anything from Bobbi Brown? Any standout items for you?
