Here they are in more detail.
Monday - Savvy by DB Long Lasting lipstick in San Fran
I love these lippies, they're around $8.00 from Priceline and they last all day on my lips. The matte formula can be slightly drying, but I don't mind too much. I wore this to work. It's bright yet still somehow muted so I don't find it inappropriate for work.
Tuesday - Shanghai Suzy lipstick in Miss Simone
This is such a gorgeous muted coral shade, it looks really natural on and goes well with a dark smokey eye. As I was wearing a pretty massive statement necklace on this day to work (from Colette) I didn't want my makeup to overpower the accessories, so kept the lips fairly low key.
Wednesday - Catrice Matte lipstick in Matt About Pink
I worked from home on this day. Normally I don't bother with lippies on such days, but I did pop over to the shops during lunch (a girl's gotta eat!) and quickly applied this lipstick. Catrice isn't available in Australia, but this one is one that my friend Ebony sent over for me from Thailand. I absolutely love the colour, but it only lasted about 2 hours on me despite being a matte shade.
Thursday - Savvy by DB Long Lasting Lipstick in Maui
Back to the office we go. And I told you I love these budget lippies. Maui is another matte shade from the range, and is a vibrant orange. I actually find this doesn't last as long as the other colour I have, San Fran, but I love the colour and you can't go wrong with $8.00.
Friday - Avon lipstick in Pink Lily
Part time day off! Yay! I don't work Fridays, this is mama-Luca day so it's all about spending the day with my toddler son. I felt like something a bit bright on my lips, but not over the top as I spent most of the day either in playgrounds, parks, or playgrounds within shopping centres... or cafes. This shade from Avon is a favourite, it's not too OTT but is bright enough to add some warmth to my face.
Saturday - Australis Longwear lipstick in Trendy
Helloooo weekend! It was a bright, sunny day and I was in the mood for a bright and happy shade. Trendy is a matte shade, but I applied a bit of clear lip balm on top to add some shine to it. I don't even remember what we did this day, probably the same as the day before (parks, playgrounds, cafes), but this time the husband also joined Luca and I.
Sunday - L'Oreal Color Riche Matte lipstick in Glamour Fuchsia
I tend to be a bit more low key on weekends but we were going to a birthday lunch on this day so I made more of an effort with my look. Tine from Beautyholics Anonymous sent me this a while back when I bought some stuff off her blog sale (thanks Tine!). The colour is exactly what I would have picked, though it does tend to pull more berry on me than Fuchsia. Love it.
There you have it, the 7 lippies that graced my lips over a week. Which shade is your favourite?
PS: Anyone else noticed that I wore stripes 3 out of the 7 days? I can't help it, I love stripes and would wear it everyday so I have to make an effort to reach for other clothes.
I love that look of that avon lipstick it's such a pretty color. It also is a pretty color on you too it makes your eyes pop

I love statement necklaces, they're so easy to dress up plain outfits with :)
DeleteThis is such a good idea to use more lipsticks. I have so many and always get stuck in a rut wearing the same shade every day. Miss Simone looks beautiful on you, especially with that lovely necklace! I love wearing stripes too, they'd fill my wardrobe if I didn't stop myself.
ReplyDeleteClaire.
I'm like you too, I get stuck in a rut of wearing the same old shades so this was good for me too, got me out of my comfort zone for this week :)
DeleteLOL at the stripes!
Phwoar, those lippies (especially the Glamour Fuchsia) look amazing on you Lilit!

I have 3 lipsticks from Savvy by db. my fave being San Fran! I have nothing like it in my collection, dark bubblegum pink with with subtle gold glitter, plus i like that it's a bit on the thicker side.
ReplyDeleteI also have Miss Simone by Shanghai Suzy- Love the grape hubba bubba smell & can't wait to buy more :)
I absolutely LOVE the last one on you - Glamour Fuchsia. Dark lips! Btw, love your ideas about 7 days of lipstick. I have an enormous stash of untried polishes. so... i might borrow this post idea from you ;) if you don't mind of course! xx
ReplyDeleteOf course you can borrow this idea babe, can't wait to see what you post! xx
DeleteLove, love, love this post! I love stripes and statement necklaces too. Sorry to ask a non-lipstick related question but could I ask where you got your beautiful green scarf (Friday) from?
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to check out the Savvy lipstick range.
Nicole.
Hi Nicole, I'm glad to hear you liked the post :-)
DeleteThe scarf is from Colette but I bought it last winter and I don't recall seeing them in store anymore. Maybe try ebay for similar ones? Oh and yes, do check out the Savvy lippies, I wish they had more colours that I liked because I'd be getting them all!
