Lipstick Love - Sleek True Colour lipstick in Amped

I bought this lippy a while back during my Crush Cosmetics haul and realised I haven't reviewed it yet despite it being one of my favourite shades!

Quick Thoughts
  • Blue based fuchsia with intense pigmentation
  • The colour applies true to the shade in the bullet, regardless of your lips' natural pigmentation
  • Matte formula which makes it very long lasting on the lips
  • Can be drying so a lip balm is essential (in the photo below you can see how it's made my lips look quite dry as I didn't wear a balm beforehand)
  • If worn without a lip balm it can accentuate dry flaky bits AND also stain your lips
  • It's meant to be a dupe for MAC Candy Yum Yum, but I don't own CYY so I can't compare

In Australia it's available at Crush Cosmetics for AUD $9.95 or US $6.49 from the Sleek website which has international delivery.

Have you tried any of the Sleek True Colour lipsticks?

    1. Hi hun, I'm doing fine! We have our good days and bad days (mainly nights!) but on the whole I love motherhood and my son is just adorable. Oh and I'd taken these pics just before I gave birth... right now I look v.tired (those sleepless nights again!), but I should get back to normal soon I hope.

  4. Gorgeous shade of fuchsia, Lilit! Bold and pretty, really goes with your turquoise necklace. I think its name is perfect for the shade.

  15. Unfortunately fuchsia doesn't suit me which is a pity as it would be a great Summer colour. I guess I can just admire it on the lucky ones who can wear it ha ha. Very belated congratulations to you both on the birth of gorgeous gorgeous Luca Alexander. :)

  17. Thanks for this great review. Now I've just decided to purchase this lipstick knowing that it can be a great lip balm to hide chapped lips or lip bleeding. I'll try to look on Amazon if it is available.
