NOTD: Wine and Gold Glitter

In the spirit of Valentine's Day I strayed away from my usual pastel shades and went a bit darker with a lovely wine coloured polish. And since my obsession with glitter isn't fading yet, I topped it off with some gold glitter polish.

For this simple mani I used:

  • Bourjois Anti Choc No Chip in #17 - I love the Anti Choc range from Bourjois, they seriously last 4-5 days without chipping. I applied 2 coats here.
  • Mode* Finders Keepers - I only applied a single coat of this gold glitter shade as I wanted to focus on the wine colour rather than the glitter. Not bad for something sold at Chemists for less than $2.50 each!

I'm loving the combination of the deep red and gold glitter. Another combo that I think would look great is to layer this gold glitter on top of navy nail polish. A bit like a starry night, a la Van Gogh. Hope you like!

What are you wearing on your nails for Valentine's Day?

  5. I like that you kinda went out of the box with the gold glitter instead of typical pink and red.

    1. Glitter is so in now isn't it? I love this one as it's so cheap. And no I haven't tried any Ciate polishes, I wouldn't even know where to get them! In fact I don't think they sell them here in Australia.

    2. Lilit, yep you can buy them in Australia. They are sold at Mecca Cosmetica and Kit Cosmetics. I've seen both of them in the city stores however suspect that they are sold at selected stores only.

    3. Oh really? It's been THAT long since I was last at Mecca/Kit. I don't have one close to me and since I'm on leave from work at the moment I don't go into the city store much either. I'll have to keep an eye out for them though as I've heard a lot of good things about the Ciate polishes! xx
