L'Oreal L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadows in #201 Cafe Saint Germain and #502 Quartz Fume

I saw these at Priceline the other day but they didn't have the colours I was after. Lucky, as I next came across them at Big W where they were 30% off. Score! It was like I was meant to have them!

The L'Oreal L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadows are a fairly new release in Australia, and they have the most amazing pigmentation. They're very soft and almost gel like to the touch, but they apply and stay on like powder eyeshadows. If you've tried their Infallible range, they're very similar in texture but not as crumbly.

The colours that appealed to me most were #201 (Nude) Cafe Saint Germain and #502 (Lumiere) Quartz Fume. They are very typical me colours, and I'm sure I have lots of dupes for these but it was the finish that I couldn't go past. The two I picked are both metallic, but they also come in matte finishes as well.

#201 Cafe Saint Germain is a light taupe with almost pinkish undertones. It swatches much lighter than it looks in the pan. #502 Quartz Fume is a stunning dark shimmery taupe. It swatches much darker than it looks in the pan.

Both look amazing worn alone on the lid, or even with #201 on the lid and #502 in the crease.

Here's a lazy way I've been wearing it the past week or so, with the darker shade all over the lid/crease and lower lash line and the lighter shade in the inner corners.

If you're after some highly pigmented single shadows, then definitely give these a swatch next time you're at a L'Oreal stockist, I guarantee you'll love the quality.

Have you seen these at the shops yet? Have you tried them yet?

  1. These look gorgeous! I've heard really great things but have been resisting the purchase because I already have way too many eyeshadows! I'll definitely have a swatch though :P

  8. Your liquid eyeliner is on point girl! I absolutely love the shades you got. I've never tried L'oreal eyeshadows because I haven't heard much about them, but I will definitely give them a go. Will pop into priceline next and snap these up. Great review/photos. Holly :) x | http://thechroniclesofholly.blogspot.com.au/

  10. They look great Lilit and I'm certainly glad you swatched them because they are much darker and lighter than I would have thought looking at them in their pans. I've got a Priceline opening up in my local shops soon too :-)
