Ever since using natural shampoo I feel cleaner but my hair doesn't feel stripped. I use Rocky Mountain soap company. Over-processed hair, coarse hair - that doesn't get oily like fine hair, so I can understand someone with that texture not washing every day. Others, we gots to wash the funk out!.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06082359392810355791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-897793820774746634.post-41610158633258489472014-02-26T15:50:01.395+11:002014-02-26T15:50:01.395+11:00Like regular, supermarket coconut oil that I am pr...Like regular, supermarket coconut oil that I am probably cooking with?! Gosh, I can't walk five feet without seeing it sold here! I'm definitely onto it now. Hopefully it will help fix the horror damage that the hairdresser did to my poor hair {I am considering cutting it into a bob just to get rid of half of it!}. Good luck with your hair mission, can't wait to see how it works for you! But I just feel that my hair is too dry and over-shampooing might be one of the reasons. I'm so glad you've tried coconut oil as well and are happy with it. The overnight wrapped in plastic idea sounds fabulous, but I have a little toddler son that co-sleeps with us and he always plays with my hair in his sleep, so I wouldn't want him to mess up the place by rubbing the coconut oil everywhere. As for the Mythic Oil range, so far it's ok, I'm not overly impressed with it but I've only used it 3 times so I'll give it a few more chances first before making a judgment call. I've tried not washing my hair on a Saturday or Sunday and it utterly repulses me. I don't feel clean and am self conscious that I'm going to smell like 'head.' Dry shampoo grosses me out as well, as it leaves a film and the oil will eventually begin to peek out again within a few hours. I've also read up on this since SO many people take gasps at the thought of daily hair washing, and I have found that washing it daily helps cleanse the scalp of dead skin and oils that may clog the pores. I have also noticed that if I don't wash it, say on Saturday, when I wash it on Sunday, I have even more hair in the drain than I usually do with my every day wash. Coconut oil is great - try it over night with plastic wrap or a plastic bag wrapped around our head to lock in heat. Looking forward to your review of the L'oreal Mythic Oil..https://www.blogger.com/profile/06082359392810355791noreply@blogger.com
