Urban Decay Naked On The Run Palette - Review & FOTD

It was my birthday last week, and the husband got me this gorgeous palette! Yes, he may have had a hint. Actually I gave him a list of 3 palettes I had my eye on including a link to where he can buy them from (I think sometimes you need to be very obvious with guys :P). The 3 palettes on my list were the UD Naked On The Run, Lorac 2 and Stila Soul. The hubby chose the UD Naked on The Run. He did well.

Look, if I'm honest, the Naked On The Run palette isn't unique. The colours are all dupable, though the formula of most of the items is quite nice (the eyeshadow on the top right hand corner is a bit gritty, but everything else is beautifully pigmented). What is good about it is the fact that all the colours are very wearable, including the blush and the bronzer. And the inclusion of a pencil and mascara mean if you're travelling or are on the run, this is really all you need to do your eyes and cheeks. There is also a lipgloss included, but this is not a game changer for me as I'm not a big gloss wearer.

In the palette you get:
1 x Perversion mascara - very black, very volumising
1 x eyeliner in Stag - a really nice dark greyish brown
1 x lipgloss in Sesso - a surprisingly non-sticky gloss which as a non-gloss wearer I did not hate
5 x eyeshadows - Dive (shimmer), Fix (matte), Resist (sh), Dare (matte) and Stun (sh).
1 x bronzer
1 x blush
1 x shimmer powder - which can also double as eyeshadow.

Overall I find the palette really easy to use, and it will definitely be handy for travel. Sure, it's quite large but is sturdy, and the fact it includes blush/bronzer/liner etc, that saves space in a makeup bag already. I have been using it daily the last week and I'd say it's made my morning routine much simpler. If I was to take this travelling I'd probably replace the lipgloss for a lippy or even squeeze in a couple of short brushes instead.

Below is a look I created using only this palette on my eyes, cheeks and lips.

What do you think of the Naked On The Go Palette? Do you think it's a must have or are you over the Naked bandwagon now?

    1. I know what you mean. I wasn't really sure if I'd like this to be honest, but it's surprisingly versatile and so wearable!

  2. I got this for Christmas too :) I love it! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the bronzer, it's nicely pigmented and so blendable! And the matte shades for the eyeshadows are my favourites, I love using just a matte shade in the crease for depth when I need a really quick eye look! This palette gave me two new ones to work with!

    1. I didn't think I'd use the bronzer much either, but I use that and the blush every day. It's a surprisingly versatile palette and I'm happy i got it :)

  3. Clever hubby! I can see you'll get a ton of wear out of it. I love travel palettes because they save so much space in the luggage and take all the guesswork out of what to pack :)
