I'm not going to go on an on about it as I'm sure you've already read quite a few reviews on it, so here are a few key points I want to mention.
Formula - creamy when first applied, then dries to a completely matte finish within 3 mins.
Finish - matte, completely opaque.
Longevity - forever! ok, not forever but pretty long time. This lasts all day on my lips, with only minor wear shown in the centre of my lips after eating (especially if eating oily foods).
Removal - pretty difficult! You need to use some kind of oily makeup remover, e.g. eye makeup remover, to get it off.
Dupes - formula-wise there are plenty of dupes, and I own a few. Australis Velourlips and Savvy by DB Matte Lipcreams are very similar. In fact Savvy Lipcream in Icon is also a colour dupe. See my review HERE. One thing definitely worth mentioning though is that the Velveteen feels very lightweight on the lips despite formula, yet the other dupes I've tried feel quite heavy.
In Australia there are quite a few online stockists for Lime Crime. The ones I remember off the top of my head are Rouche Boutique, Crush Cosmetics and Discount Beauty Boutique.
Have you tried Velveteens? Do you like this type of formula?
This shade is such a stunner! I really want to try the Velvetines, I love the finish.

They are really fantastic! There are a lot of dupes for it but so far the original seems the best for me :)
DeleteLooks absolutely gorgeous! Putting it on the "must try" list :)
ReplyDeleteYou won't regret it, it's amazing :)
