L'Oreal Nude Magique - perfect skin trio

Here's a new face base trio* I've been trialling lately, all from the L'Oreal Nude Magique range. I call it my perfect skin trio as it makes my skin look smooth, and like it's naturally perfect. Read on to see my individual reviews of each of the items.

Nude Magique Blur Cream in medium/dark
It was love at first swatch. As someone who doesn't like primers much, I have been using this almost every day since I got it. It's a tinted silicone based primer (think Benefit Porefessional) which instantly smooths out any fine lines and creates a perfect base for your foundation. Because it's tinted on good skin days I've been very tempted to forego my foundation completely and just wear this, because of how smooth it makes my skin, but I never do. What can I say, I love my foundation. If you're ever near a L'Oreal counter and see a tester for this, make sure you try it on your hand, guaranteed you'll also fall in love with it. RRP $26.95

Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation in #140 Pure Beige
I really didn't expect to like the Eau De Teint foundation. In fact even when I swatched in on my hand it didn't do it for me. It was so lightweight, and also so runny, I thought there's no way this will give me any coverage at all. So I kind of put off trying it for quite a while. Then one day I was working from home and had absolutely no plans for leaving the house so I thought what the heck, I'll try it. And oh my. It gives medium, almost full, coverage despite being so lightweight. It goes on smoothly, dries to an almost matte velvet finish and it lasts. The. Whole. Day. I'm sold! It works great on its own, but applied over the blur cream it gives me the smoothest skin, you'd think I was born with it! The colour is slightly too dark for me, however applied with the powder (below) which is slightly too light, it all works out. What I don't like about it? The packaging. The foundation is very runny, and the grey big opening up top means I always get more product out than I did. I would have loved a pump bottle instead. RRP $24.95

Nude Magique BB Powder in Light
I've used this one in the past and been really happy with. It's very lightweight but has enough pigmentation to add to the coverage. I normally use the Medium, so this was a tad too light for me but mixed with the slightly darker foundation this worked out ok. What I love about it is how it doesn't leave my skin with a powdery feeling. The packaging I'm not a fan of - it's one of those that has the mirror on the bottom of the pan, which I find inconvenient for touch ups on the go. And for that reason alone I haven't repurchased it. But the powder itself is lovely, and worth a try.

  1. I swatched the blur cream and was confused because it was tinted.. I didn't bother to get it because of this reason!

  2. Oh the tint hardly shows up, it just blends naturally onto your skin. Just treat it like a normal primer :)

  3. Oh, no way! I bought the foundation when I was in Melbs because I read such rave reviews. I've worn it several times and it just has not worked on me, so I put it at the back of my shelf -- now I know why! There's a primer & a powder that goes with it to complete the look! They don't sell it here, boo. It looks SO lovely on you Xx
