Winter flushed FOTD

It's this lipstick. I feel like every time I wear it, it makes my whole face look flushed like I've just come in from the cold. Which is why I decided to name this post Winter Flushed. And well, after all it is winter here in Australia, but we're lucky as our winters our quite mild. No icy freezing conditions here, the temperature in most major towns rarely goes below 10C (50F) and as you can see leaves are still mostly green.

Here are the products used to get this winter flushed look.

Face
Girlee Cosmetics Velvet Veil Primer
Girlee Cosmetics Cream foundation in Medium/Light 1
MAC  Mineralize Skinfinish powder in Medium
Illamasqua Sculpting Duo to Contour
theBalm blush in Frat Boy - I've got a review coming up soon on this

Eyes
Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette* - Dove (lid) and Fawn (inner corner). Review coming up soon.
Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner*
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown on eyebrows

Lips
Savvy Ultra Matte lipgloss in Icon - this is one of those budge-proof shades, seriously good quality and only around $8 from Priceline.

And just in case you're wondering if I've dyed my hair since it looks a lot more chocolate brown in the outdoor pics, I haven't. I've applied Schwarzkopf Colour Boost Spray* and in direct sunlight it's really brought out the various browny/chocolatey shades in my hair.

Hope you like the look. I'd love to know what you think of it!

  1. Love the whole look. I'm still trying to wear bright lippy but I am struggling ;-). Will you tell us more about this hairspray?

    1. Bright lippies are scary at first, but definitely worth it so hope you find a shade that you love and feel comfortable wearing! And I wasn't really planning on writing about this spray, but maybe I'll have to!

  2. Ahhh, that purple matte gloss is beautiful on you. It reminds me of one of my favorite purples, Maybelline Brazen Berry. I also like the contrast between the warm blush and the cool-toned lip color!

    1. Thank you so much! I'm loving this purple shade too, especially paired with a warm blush. I haven't seen Brazen Berry I don't think, I might have to seek it out :)
