Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick in Blamed Blue

As a huge fan of the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners (I have the colour Nude, it's a must have), I thought I'd give the Eyeshadow Sticks a try as well, especially since my local chemist had a sale on them. I got the colour Blamed Blue, which is sort of a metallic mid toned blue with teal undertones.

This is meant to be waterproof and last for 24hrs.

One thing that annoys me, and it's not just with this particular product, is when they claim a product lasts 24 hours. Seriously? We don't need products that last that long, or claim to, coz you know there are such things like sleep, showers, washing off...

But, that said, this does last all day on me even in my waterline. It pretty much doesn't budge until I'm ready to wash off, and my usual cleanser (Dermaveen soap-free wash) does the trick of washing it off with no residue.

Here's 2 ways that I wore it, but if you're the creative type I'm sure you can come up with plenty more ways to use this. In the first look I wore it in my waterline. I did a simple daytime smokey eye and added some colour by lining the waterline. In the second look I wore it on my lid and smoked it out with a dark brown/grey in the crease.

There are a range of colours to choose from, including some lovely browns and taupes so if you're after an easy to use crayon style eyeshadow then give these a go. They're around the AUD$10 mark but I'm sure you can get them on sale at one of the usual stockists, like Target, BigW, Priceline.

Have you tried these eyeshadow sticks? Any favourites?

  1. I don't believe it: I bought this very eyeshadow stick yesterday! How bizarre! It's not the sort of color I wear very often, but I couldn't resist that iridescent peacock blue. I haven't played with it yet, but I think I'll end up wearing it on my upper lashline and smudging it out a bit, or using it as an accent with gray or taupe eyeshadow. I like the looks you've done here, too!
