Femme Boulevard - Monochrome FOTD

For this month the Femme Boulevard girls decided on Monochrome as our theme for a makeup look. Monochrome literally means One (mono) Colour (chrome), which means for this look we had to pick a single shade and use it on eyes, lips and cheeks. For my one colour look I decided on coral. I was tempted to use cranberry, but we'd been having beautiful sunny days here in Sydney and coral was the shade that beckoned.  Maybe I'll do a cranberry look at some other time. But for now, here's my monochrome look in coral.
The key makeup items I used for this look were Flormar Terracotta Eyeshadow in M102, Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Tipsy and MAC lipstick in Costa Chic. On my eyes I used the Flormar eyeshadow all over the lid, but then deepened the crease with a mid brown shade from Lorac (Sable), and lined my eyes with liquid eyeliner. I finished the eyes with 2 coats of Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. On my cheeks I used my beloved Illamasqua Sculpting Duo to contour, before applying blush. And as for my lips, I'm wearing the lipstick straight from the tube with no lipliner.

Hehe, do you like how even the detail on my dress matches the look? That was purely unintentional, I think I was just gravitating towards oranges and corals that day.

Hope you liked the look, and don't forget to check out the look that LILY has come up with. Teri and Joey won't be joining us this month, however we have a new member! Kate from Drivel About Frivol joins us, and since this is her first post with FB she's doing a Nude For New Beginnings look which you can check out HERE.

  1. Adore the eye, love the lip, DIE FOR THE DRESS <3 I'm actually stalking a vaguely similar one (black with orange and cream beading) at the moment, and you have inspired me to pull the trigger :D Hoping I look a fraction as stunning as you do in this look!
