Beauty Cottage Gorgeous Eyeshadow Palette - my birthday present from Thailand

I'm going through a bit of an eyeshadow palette obsession at the moment, and my friend Ebony knows this too well. She's moved to Thailand not too long ago, and about a couple of weeks ago I received a surprise package from her for my birthday - it was this absolutely stunning eyeshadow palette from Beauty Cottage. Thank you so much hun!

Beauty Cottage is a Thai brand which I'd never heard of before, but if this palette is any indication then if you're ever in Thailand it's worth seeking out. They do have a website, but it loads so S.L.O.W.L.Y. it was killing me, so I can't even tell you if they ship international or not. Anyway, back to the palette. It's called Gorgeous Shadow palette and I'd have to agree, it is gorgeous!

It comes with 3 matte and 6 shimmer shades in shades of golds, browns and taupes. The colours aren't unique and are easily dupable, e.g. the Naked Palettes come to mind, but the quality of the eyeshadows surprised me. I was expecting a lot of fall out with the shimmer shades but there was none, zilch, nada. And the matte shades are non-chalky, smooth and easy to blend.

Of the matte shades, I use Calypso just under my brows to highlight my brow bone, Medea is perfect to blend out harsh lines, and Demeter is good for deepening the crease but I also use it on my brows. Of the shimmer shades, I use Aphrodite and Artemis mainly to highlight the inner corner of my eyes, the rest all over my lids. The gold shade, Hera, broke in transit but there's still plenty left in the pan so I'm not too worried.

The palette also comes with a small domed brush which is great at defining the crease.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with this palette, and you can bet your bottom dollar if I was to go to Thailand again I'd be heading my way into Beauty Cottage in no time! I have a tutorial coming up using this palette, so stay tuned!

Have you heard of this brand before? What do you think of this palette?

  7. I'm so glad you love it! And I'm sorry about Hera, I really thought it was packaged well enough for travel :( Beauty Cottage is an amazing store, and every shadow I'm swatched in there is so pigmented and buttery! You're right about their website, it's very slow, but from what I can see there IS a store section, I'm just not sure it ships internationally. But if you see something on there that you like, I can always pick it up for you! Xx

  9. We were in Thailand last week, and found this brand the last day. My sister got this palette and I bought a highlighter and bronzer. I really wish we would have found them earlier to stock up way more! Love it!
