Beautiful cheek products from the Curtis Collection

I must have been living under a rock because up until recently I hadn't heard of the Curtis Collection by Victoria, an Australian boutique cosmetics brand. That's quite surprising as the entire collection looks right up my alley! From highly pigmented bright lipsticks to baked blushes that give a beautiful sheen to the cheeks, these are definitely the sort of products that would catch my eye! So when I was contacted recently and asked if I'd like to sample anything from the range I didn't say no*.

Today I'm showing you 3 blushes and 1 matte bronzer from the Curtis Collection.
L/R: Dollface, Fashonista, Golden Goddess

These baked blushes are from The Goddess Collection named so for the goddess glow they give the cheeks. They retail for $35 AUD each.
  • Dollface: pale pink shimmer which would suit those with the fairest of skintones. Which means this colour isn't for me, it's too pale to wear on its own but I have been swiping it on my cheekbones as a highlighter and it works quite well. Not as shimmery as a real designated highlighter, but still enough to give a sheen.
  • Fashionista: bright warm pink with coral undertones. This shade is absolutely stunning and perfect for a pop of colour on the cheeks. This is definitely one of my favourite shades and I can see me using this a lot in summer. It imparts a beautiful glow to the cheeks and negates the need for a highlighter.
  • Golden Goddess: I really didn't expect to like this one, rusty shades like these tend to look muddy on me but this one doesn't! I think it's because of the built in shimmer that makes the colour look three dimensional, and not muddy at all. I don't imagine this would suit everyone though, you'd need to be perhaps medium toned or darker to be able to wear this shade. For me this is perfect now,  but I think in winter with a paler skin I couldn't wear this.

This baked matte bronzer in Bronzed Goddess ($49.95) is probably one of the most natural bronzers out there. It's quite light for a bronzer, but the darker veining running through it give enough colour to add a natural tan to the skin. It has absolutely no orange, so there's no risk of you looking like an Oompa Loompa!

Let's look at some swatches and also how they look on the face.

  3. I use the mineral liquid foundation. It is excellent. Not cheap, think it was $65 but looks very natural on the skin and lasts all day. I am tempted by the fashionista blush! I also have a lip gloss called toffee which is gorgeous. It is a perfect rose gold colour. Very natural but also quite unique. Never seen anything like it before. I love it and will definitely repurchase when it runs out. So nice to see the line being featured on your blog.
