Diorshow Mono Fusion Eyeshadow in Millennium

Hi all, I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I last blogged! Thanks for sticking around! Well, we're still travelling and all is good here. After spending 10 beautiful days in the South of France we're now in Armenia where my relatives live. I thought I'd get a lot more time to blog while in Armenia, what with the relatives helping to look after our 1 year old son, but the truth is we're always either out sightseeing or spending time catching up with the relatives. Anyway, here's a post I'd prepared earlier that I'm finally hitting the publish button on!

I'm a huge fan of the cream to powder eyeshadows, like the L'Oreal Color Infallible range or the Chanel Illusion D'Ombres. Well here's one such eyeshadow from Dior. Behold, the Diorshow Mono Fusion Eyeshadow in Millennium.

Millennium is from the Mystic Metallics collection which I've blogged about previously HERE. It's a dark gunmetal grey with greenish undertones. The consistency feels lighter than the L'Oreal and Chanel ones, it's more of a gel/mousse rather than a cream but it dries to a powder finish so it's long lasting.

Millenium is one of those shades that is perfect to wear all over the lid for an easy smokey eye look. The colour is quite unique actually. At first it reminded me of Chanel Illusoire but upon swatching next to each other you can tell that Millenium is a warmer grey, whereas Illusoire is cooler toned and leans towards purple.

  2. I like the color of the Chanel one more, but from the pictures it seems like the consistency and the pigmentation would be better on the Dior one. Is that the case?

    1. I definitely like the colour of the Chanel one more too, it's a lovely purply grey. But you're right, the Dior one applies easier and is more pigmented, especially with a wet applicator.
