French pharmacy recommendations?

Bonjour lovelies,

Just a quick post from me today...

After spending 2 days in Singapore (more on that in another post) we are now in Paris. I've heard so much about the wonderful skincare available at French Pharmacies but I don't know what to get. I did pick up a small bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse yesterday, but if there are any French Pharmacy must haves that you recommend, hit me with it in the comments!

Thanks in advance,

  1. The nuxe rose petals cleansing gel is pretty amazing and eucerin filler range. Roger and gallet stuff smells fab too, all very fresh and natural :)

    1. Thanks Gaelle, the rose petals cleansing gel sounds amazing, so does the eucerin range! We already have R&G soaps in Australia so I might skip those as I want something we don't already have. :)

  4. I love Jonzac light moisturizing cream, it's the only thing that hepled me with my crazy dry/dehydrated skin. And it's certificated :) Otherwise, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo to control breakout if you have any :)

  5. As a french girl I think you would like: Bioderma (not only l'eau micellaire), Nuxe, Roger Gallet perfumes. In fact french parapharmacy is full of treasures: la roche posay, avene, vichy. I'm a huge fan of Biotherm, that you can find in some french parapharmcy.

If you need an adress: City pharma, 26 Rue du Four 75006 = the less expansive parapharmacy of Paris ! I can assure you that in this store, the prices are really interesting !

    Bioderma: sunscreens, crème exofiliante hydrabio
    Nuxe: huile prodigieuse, Crème prodigieuse...
Roger Gallet: Huile Embellissante Fleurs d'Osmanthus, Parfum Fleur de Figuier (new perfume, amazing scent of fig)
La roche posay: make up is nice
    Biotherm: skinergetics creams
And if you like to try bio products: Melvita, Biobeaute (by Nuxe) (exofoliant confort aux fruits rouges <3) or Weleda.

    voilà :)

    1. Thanks for the recommendations Laurane! I actually went to that city pharma on rue du Four was we were staying not too far from it on St Germain Blvd... great pharmacy! I've got a few things from there, but I keep buying more so I'll do a proper haul post when I get back to Australia. I love your pharmacies :)

  6. Definitely go for AVIBON. It's so hard to find outside France unlike the super-run-off-the-mill BIODERMA!

  7. Hey, I am in Paris too! But for work, not fun, hehe! I would recommend Melvita Extraordinary Water, Taaj Micellar Water, Bio Beaute by Nuxe- currently obsessed with their cold cream, Nuxe Lip Balm with honey, Nuxe Rose Petal line, the Bioderma Hydrabio Serum- looove it! :) Oh, and while you are here, go eat some ice cream in Amorino near Notre Dame- it's more amazing even then the macaroons <3

    1. Hope you're having fun in Paris, even if it is for work! I'm now down in Nice so I didn't get a chance to go to Amorino near the Notre Dame but I've spied an Amorino here in Nice so I'll definitely go there at some point!

  8. hi Lilit, I'm Chourouk from Tunisia, I follow your lovely blog, and I am a medecine student and a makeup addict like you. french skincare are available in every corner in my country and they are really good, here's some of my favorite ones: Avène and la Roche Posay products, they are excellent especially Anthélios sun screen, body lotion Cold cream of Avène, Avène Cleanance cleansing gel without soap, spray Eau thermale d'Avène, Avène Cicalfate for post-acneik skin, La Roche Posay Tolériane lotions and creams for intolerent skin, La Roche Posay Effaclar for oily skin, I use also Créaline of Bioderma as a makeup remover, Biafine cream for sun burns or little red spots, Nuxe rève de miel lip balm and Avène Couvrance compact powder for sensitive skin

    1. Hi Chourouk, thanks for the recommendations! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for Avene products as they seem to be good! And I didn't know they made compact powders as well, I'll be sure to check it out as even though my skin isn't sensitive it IS very dry so it might be good to use that instead of normal powders. Thanks!
