Dear Floral Crowns,
You're everywhere at the moment - in my Pinterest feed, on the heads of fashion bloggers, or being crafted by the hands of talented DIYers. But... do people over the age of 3 actually wear you in real life? Outside of weddings and garden parties that is. Because unless I see you on the head of Lorraine from accounts, I ain't wearing you.

Five minutes into Episode 1 of Season 1 and I wrote you off as an evil fantasy show with very brutal themes. I avoided you like the plague for 2 whole years. Then somehow I gave you another chance. And I got hooked. Oops. Now I'm fully up to date. You're brilliant. Sorry I doubted you.

Dear Pregnant Friend,
The most useless piece of advice you'll receive is "Sleep now because when the baby's here you won't be sleeping". Yes it's true that when the baby's here you'll never sleep again, but if you think sleeping now will help you in the future, the answer's no. You don't create some kind of sleep bank that you deposit delicious sleep into, only to withdraw on needy days when you're sleep deprived. So if you don't feel like sleeping now, don't. Because it's not going to help you when the baby's here anyway so might as well enjoy your non-sleep!

Honestly, I'll never play Candy Crush, but Game of Thrones? I've been wondering about this for ages! Always followed up with, "totally not my thing"... Am I wrong?!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it would be my "thing" either but I love it! BUT... it is VERRRRRY violent. Makes The Hunger Games look like a children's show. Give it a try, see how you go... it took me about 3 episodes to get into it though so you need to be patient.

Also very frustrating at times isn't it? like when you watch a whole episode and NOTHING has actually happened. LOL

ReplyDeleteIt's a good show to get your mind off things, although I must admit there are moments that I close my eyes as I can't watch whatever they're showing. The storyline with Theon is one I just can't watch!
