Urban Decay Naked2 Tutorial - Step by Step

I've already mentioned here that I haven't been giving my Naked 2 Palette as much love as it deserves. In fact I'm still not even sure if the hype was worth it or if it's a must-have. But either way, lately I've been forcing myself to only use this when doing my everyday eye makeup.

Here's a cool brown smokey eye using only the Naked 2.

Step by Step Tutorial

And done!

Hope you liked this style of a tutorial, the idea for which I completely borrowed... ok, stole from Dana from The Wonder Forest

Have you got the Naked 2 Palette? Do you think the hype around it was worth it?

  1. I do have the Naked 2 and, just like you, I don't know if it's really a must have.
I surely like it, I've been using it quite a lot.
But I have the original Naked and I don't know if I really needed its sequel as well.
Anyway I love the look you've created and the fact that you've made a step by step tutorial of it!

    1. It does have gorgeous shades, but I find most of them transfer on my skin very similar, i.e. very little variation in shade so that's why I'm not sure it's a must have. Oh well. But glad you liked the tute! xo

  2. I have the Naked 2, and personally much prefer the first one!
I might say that the Naked palette is a must have for me, but not Naked 2!
Great tutorial though, I must try it!

    1. Thanks Tali, I certainly like the cool shimmery taupes of UD2 but I don't think the taupes like me!

  6. That's a beautiful look. I have the naked 1. I Scoffed when naked2 was released. Didn't seem that special. But now I'm falling in love with naked2 with each passing day. Somebody Puhleez tell me it's not worth it:)

    1. I originally loved it, then I grew bored of it but now that I'm using it a lot more now I think I like it again... as for whether it's worth it or not... hmmm... for me it's not a must have!

  9. I have this and I have to admit I like this more than Naked 1...but I didn't like Naked 1 very much. I dunno...I think it's just that I am not very good with eye makeup yet. This set of colors was more complimentary to my skintone and I'll definitely be using your tutorial to try to get more use out of my N2.
