EYES
With colour blocking, the trick is to use only one colour. This isn't the look where you define the crease with a darker shade. It's all about block colours. Here's what I used.
- MAC Double Feature 3 (teal shade only) - entire lid up past the crease and lower lashline
- MAC Phloof (off white) - inner corner
- Jordana Black Eyeliner
- BYS White Eyeliner - inner rims of eyes
- Cover Girl Lashblast Mascara in Black
LIPS
MAC Lipstick in Pink Nouveau
CHEEKS
Illamasqua Blush in Lover - I was tempted to use a pink blush but I thought the overall look might be too cool toned, so I warmed up my cheeks a little with this apricot blush.
And here's the final look. You'll have to excuse the undone hair, I was trying to give it a break from daily styling! Plus it was a windy day, and excuses excuses excuses, ignore the hair, look at the makeup.

This is a cute look. I use to always wear color on the eyes, but never felt comfortable wearing color on both eyes/lips. You look great, though and pull it off well!

Thanks you so much for your comments ladies, colour blocking makeup is not as scary as you'd think, although I was a bit hesitant leaving the house like that initially thinking everyone would think I had clown makeup on. LOL
ReplyDeleteSaumya - noted, I'll make sure to show that necklace in a full pic one day :-)
