Lipstick Love from the holidays

As you would have seen from my holiday makeup bag post, I took too many lip products with me on a one week holiday in the tropics, and didn't end up using them all. Here's what I took...
Lipsticks L/R: MAC Hue, Rimmel Pink Blush, Inglot #104, Rimmel Kiss Me.
Lipglosses: DB Cool Sangria, MAC Ample Pink

What did I actually wear?

I wore OCC Liptar in Pageant, one of my favourite hot pinks, once and once only. I wore it out to dinner on the first night, and that's about it.

I wore Inglot lipstick in #104 a few times while going out to dinner. So this was not too much of a waste of packing space.

You'll have to excuse the somewhat blurry quality of the photo on the left... We were about to go out to dinner and The Husband kept hurrying me up. The conversation went something like this

The Husband: Hurry up, we're gonna be late
Me: Wait, I need a photo of me wearing this lipstick
The Husband: Can't you take the photo when we get back?
Me: No, my makeup would've melted off and my lipstick would've smudged by then.
The Husband: *rolls eyes* *walks out the door*
Me: *snap* *snap *snap* dammit, what setting is camera on? blurry photos... they'll do.

Anyway the only lip product that actually made it worth its airfare to Vanuatu was DB Lipgloss in Cool Sangria. I don't know if it was the totally delicious raspberry smell, the non sticky formula, or the fact that it didn't make me look too... well... made up, this gloss is pretty much all I wore.

And to finish off my holiday related posts, here's a quick collage of some of my favourite pics from Vanuatu.

What are you like when packing for holidays? Is there any one item that you take too much of? For me it's definitely lipsticks!
What is it for you?

  10. @Krystal - some days my husband is good and even offers to take the photos for me, other days it's like what are you doing? LOL

@WitchcHazel - oh this colour is just amazing, it's my all time favourite bright pink I would have to say. And so long lasting too!

@Adrienne - thanks so much babe... yeah I'm still neglecting Hue even though it's been living in my handbag for a while now. I've been going for brighter colours more.

@Saumya - I know, i wish they had names. Because numbers are just not easy to remember. It's number 104 by the way. Oh and I've never tried db lipsticks but their glosses are not bad considering the price.

@Michelle- thanks so much, you're making me blush. And the Inglot lipstick is absolutely lovely, a very wearable coral.

  16. I'll have to check out that DB lipgloss, it looks like the lipgloss equivalent of Illamasqua Precision Ink in Glister :D that Inglot lipstick also looks really lovely on you.
