My Lifesaver - Nicole by OPI |
So when I was planning on what colour to paint my nails before going to Vanuatu I wanted something that would look great when worn with my favourite turquoise print summer dress, sipping cocktails in front of the blue waters of the Pacific, something pretty much like this!
Yep, this is pretty much the scene I had in mind! |
You get pretty good coverage with 2 coats, like I've got in the pics, but 3 coats is needed to get a fully opaque cover. What I love about this polish is that it lasts and lasts. I painted my nails with this just before we went away on holidays for the week, and this lasted on my nails the whole time plus more. Eight days in total.
Here are a few shots where I decided to get arty at the beach...
This pic below is from our last day of the holidays... you can see that the polish is still nicely intact though it does look a bit duller due to the wear.
Matchy matchy - matching my earrings |
Have you tried anything from the Nicole by OPI range? What nailpolish colours do you like for holidays?
Great holiday colour! Looks pretty close to China Glaze For Audrey.
ReplyDeletegorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you are right! Holiday either means crazy nail color, or crazy nail art! :)
ReplyDeleteThe photos are great btw.
I don't know why, but I haven't had good experiences with OPI. Maybe because they take a tad longer to dry and I'm an impatient slob? Could be. Impressive longetivity with this one :)
Oh my gosh! I just love that colour and it looks so cool with that orange drink! Fantastic!!! And I'm so jealous of your nails, they're perfect!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great beach nail color!
ReplyDeleteI love this polish! You're right, it lasts foreverrr!
ReplyDelete@Vita - it's very very close to For Audrey, I'll have to do a dupes post on it. This is a tad lighter than the China Glaze one.
ReplyDelete@Kelly - thanks you!
@Y - I'm not a big OPI fan either tell you the truth, but this Nicole by OPI range seems to have different formula, it's less gluggy and it's also cheaper. China Glaze polishes are by far my favourites.
@Eye Graffiti - thank you! It's exactly the colour I had in mind for the holidays!
@Veronica - I love how it lasts so long, brush and forget.

What a great color! Love the mani! Looks like you had a great time on holiday!
ReplyDeleteYou can get a lot of Nicole/OPI from various shops around China town. The fashion shops as well as the chemists all sell it in Sydney. It's a lot cheaper than normal OPI.
ReplyDeleteLilit, you are SO CUTE taking pics of your polish on your holidays! A true beauty addict!
ReplyDeleteThat blue is stunning and the sea water is TO DIE FOR! How gorgeous!
The blue with your orange/yellow cocktail looks spectacular! I just love it!
Wonderful post, I hope you had a lovely holiday! It's great to have you back! xoxox

ReplyDelete@The Peach - I did, I had a wonderful time and this mani was just perfect!
ReplyDelete@N - thanks for the heads up, I'll have to check out the shops around China Town.
@Haute_Style - LOL babe, I was bored at the beach, had the camera handy so what else could I do but get arty!

Love it! Is it weird that I love these robin's egg blue polishes on brunettes the best?
ReplyDeletelove the color and all the pics ,.. esp the nails in the water :) ..and u look so amazingly pretty and radiant in ur pics :)
ReplyDelete@Sarah S. - LOL, yes it is weird that you think that! But I suppose I can see it look somewhat tacky on certain blonde shades.
ReplyDelete@Saumya - thanks hun, and I'm sure the radiance is just sweat from the heat!

Your nails always give my nails an inferiority complex. I agree with everyone though - it's a very cool shade and it seems to be perfect for what you needed.
ReplyDelete@Eden-Avalon - you haven't seen the USUAL state of my cuticles! They're dry and I can't stop picking on them... although recently thanx to doing notd posts I've been restraining myself. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this colour!! So jealous of your trip! Looks so pretty
