Lipstick Love of the Week - by CoverGirl

This week I've been loving two lipsticks, both from the new range by CoverGirl. The LipPerfection range has been out here in Australia for a couple of months now, but it doesn't look like the full colour range is here yet.

I do hope they bring more colours here, as these are seriously good lippies!

L/R - Darling, Spellbound

I admit, I was never a fan of the Cover Girl lipsticks before because the pigmentation left a lot to be desired. But that's all changed with this new range.

The pigmentation is just amazing, and while you'd need to reapply every 4 hours or so, that's really not too bad at all. In fact I quite like reapplying these lipsticks as they go on so smoothly. The formulas are creamy, but not in an OTT way. They give a lovely sheen to the lips.

L/R: Darling, Spellbound

I've bought two lipsticks from this range, Darling (a muted pinky nude) and Spellbound (a bright fuchsia).

Darling is just so easy to wear, it's an MLBB colour which you don't have to worry about clashing with any outfits. It's especially great for work for when you want to look polished and put together but not in a look-at-my-lipstick way.

Spellbound is just my kind of colour, bright, pigmented and instantly glamifies the face. The two pics of my face in these photos were taken both on the same day wearing the same eye and face makeup but different lipsticks. You can see how Spellbound instantly made me look more dressed up.

This range is available at discount department stores like Target, Big W, Priceline and at chemists. They retail for around $14.95 but I've seen them on sale quite a look so keep an eye out for these if you'd like a cheap lipstick that's also great quality.

Have you tried this range by CoverGirl yet?

  1. Darling is such a gorgeous colour!!!! I wanted to get these lippies when Priceline was having an offer on these babies but I couldn't justify myself for adding more lipsticks to my already-exploding collection!

  13. Hahaha. As soon as I saw spellbound I thought to myself, "Well I know which one she'll like more!" It's definitely your kind of shade.

$15 is on the higher end of the price line for a drugstore lipstick but the creamy results make it seem worth the price.

  14. @EdenAvalon - ha ha, I'm so predictable! Oh and $15 is in Australia, makeup is really expensive here. I'm sure it's half that price in the US.
