This is a gorgeous turquoise / aqua shade by China Glaze called For Audrey, as in Audrey Hepburn. The reason for the name is because the colour is the shade of the Tiffany & Co boxes as featured in the Audrey Hepburn classic film Breakfast At Tiffany's. On a side note, I adore Audrey Hepburn, don't you?
I absolutely love China Glaze polishes, which I only started weaing not too long ago. Previously there was no store near me that sold them and for some reason I wasn't that into buying them online. But now I've discovered a store in Sydney City (SA Hair, Nail & Beauty Supplies ... website's a bit useless, but has address details if you want them) which stocks a nice range of these polishes and I think they are around $7.50AUD so not a bad price at all.
So much cheaper than OPIs and Orlys which are closer to the $20AUD mark, and in terms of quality I think these are very comparable if not better.

Have you tried this colour before? What do you think of it? Do you like China Glaze?
Oooh, loving this! And you applied it flawlessly! xo
ReplyDeleteSA Beauty Supplies is the one place I must visit every time i'm in the city! Only place with I can find my beloved Solar Oil and Northern Lights holo top coat :) If you like China Glaze and don't mind going for a drive, there's a place at Bankstown that sells them for $6.
ReplyDeletehow long has it lasted? i ' dont do' nail varnish, it just doesn't stay on! not worth the time you put into it... im in the uk but if it lasts i may check it out
ReplyDelete@ArtDonatella - thanks heaps, my cuticles in horrible dry condition though, but I'll survive!
ReplyDelete@Julia - oh I've heard a lot about that place in Bankstown but never had the chance to go there. City's just a little bit easier to get to so looks like I'll be visiting SA Beauty Supplies a lot more often as I'm obsessed with China Glaze now. Thanks for the heads up.

@Themakeuplady - they generally last 3 days on my nails, they could probably last longer if you put top coat on every day but I'm too lazy to do that. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this color!! I swear mine doesn't look that bright... mine seems to be a bit more smokey colored. Maybe it's just me, but maybe I got a dud!! haha

I noticed that your color is a lot more Robin's Egg Blue than my color is.. mine is a dead ringer for the Tiffany's color, while in these pictures (probably my monitor as I'm at work) look really sky-bluish instead of aqua-bluish. Still a gorgeous color :) it's funny that it's getting colder there as it's hitting summer here in Alaska
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteNow this is gorgeous! Never tried China Glaze. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have this polish, but I have BYS's Kung-fu Panda, which is apparently a dupe for it, and I loved wearing it in Summer with a little white dress ^^
ReplyDeleteFor Audrey is one of my favourite polishes of all time! I've been a recent convert to China Glaze too. I think they are every bit as good quality as OPI and the price is a lot more reasonable.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour and your nails are lovely! x
ReplyDeletefun colour!
ReplyDeleteI don't have this one but I have a few other China Glazes and I think they are really nice. OPI is a bit inconsistent, some are great formula some are rubbish. China Glaze I find is a good higher mid range quality
i'm wearing this right noww!! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks girls, I think this is becoming a favourite of mine too... it surprisingly doesn't look that scary on the nails and I can even wear it to work.
ReplyDeleteGood to know there are so many of you out there that love it.
