While we were renovating our house last year we went to Bunnings a lot... while the husband was looking at sanders and paint brushes, I was happily browsing the storage section. I found these clear plastic boxes for around $5 aud each which are just perfect for my dangly earrings and chunky necklaces.

You can buy similar boxes from habedashery stores, they're designed for storing pools of threads, buttons, etc, but I find they're perfect for storing earrings and other little knick knacks.

I store my jewellery in clear boxes from MUJI and have all my stuff in that boxes: Earrings, necklaces, bracelets and I have a part for my rings in that box.

I have a wire heart wall hanging that has a few hook things and I store my stuff on there and the rest in a jewellry tray I found in my mums room many years ago =D
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea. I love storage boxes. I currently have a jewellery box that has four pullout boxes that I store my earrings in and then there is a rotating wheel where I hang my necklaces on.

@Sandra - thanks, i generally love chunky necklaces especially in summer! I've heard of muji boxes a lot but I don't think we sell them here. I might need to check online as I'm forever looking for better storage ideas.
ReplyDelete@Imo - the wire heart sounds like a great idea, but if I was to do that my husbband would complain I'm making the house too girlie! So I'll have to hide my girlie things behind closed cupboard doors :(
@Dannii - I love the idea of the rotating wheel, where do you get them? And of course I'd probably have to hide it in the cupboard (as mentioned above) so thhe husband doesn;t think I'm girlifying the place!
